Ministry spokesperson Fouad Majali affirmed the Kingdom’s appreciation for this move, which aligns with international efforts to broaden recognition of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Majali reiterated Jordan’s firm position in working with Arab brothers and international partners to support the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, justice, ending the occupation, self-determination, and the establishment of their independent state on their national soil.
