The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) and its strategic partner, the Jordanian Campaign, concluded a "Free Medical Week" executed in collaboration with Yas Medical Center in the Gaza Strip. The initiative forms part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the healthcare sector and facilitate public access to medical services amid the challenging humanitarian conditions facing the enclave.

Conducted between August 2 and August 6, 2026, the medical week registered a total of 1,845 patient visits and services across various clinics and departments. The offerings encompassed a wide array of medical specialties alongside laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing services.
The medical week covered general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, dermatology, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), general surgery, and internal medicine/nephrology clinics. These departments provided diagnostic, therapeutic, and follow-up care to patients throughout the project's duration.
According to the medical week's statistical report, the general medicine clinic recorded 406 consultations, while the dental clinic received 327 visits. The dermatology clinic logged 130 consultations, pediatrics handled 109 visits, ENT recorded 76 consultations, general surgery saw 17 visits, and internal medicine/nephrology registered 12 consultations.
Auxiliary medical services formed a core component of the initiative. The pharmacy processed 656 visits and services, the laboratory provided care for 98 consultations, and nursing services recorded 14 visits—delivering a seamless continuum of care from initial examination to diagnostic testing and pharmaceutical support.
The medical week arrived at a time when Gaza's healthcare sector faces mounting pressures, making the provision of free specialized medical services a key priority within targeted humanitarian interventions, particularly given the challenges residents face in accessing routine healthcare.
The project represents a continuation of relief efforts carried out by the JHCO and the Jordanian Campaign inside the Gaza Strip to address urgent needs across vital sectors, alleviate financial burdens on families, and enhance access to essential services.
