His Majesty, he said, always stresses the importance of alleviating citizens' pressures and harnessing available opportunities to reduce poverty and unemployment, especially through small- and medium-sized productive projects that target youth and women.

Issawi, who is also head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of His Majesty’s initiatives, noted that the execution of Royal initiatives in the Petra district is "ongoing", while the focus during the coming stage will be on productive and development projects that create job opportunities for youth.

In addition, he pointed to the implementation of a number of projects through Royal initiatives in the district in the sectors of education, health, tourism, heritage, housing for underprivileged families, charitable works, and civil society initiatives.
