Jordan’s Ministry of Interior announced Monday that road fatalities decreased by 2.12% and serious injuries by 11.3% between January 1 and September 23, 2026.

The ministry also said all 159 identified high-risk traffic locations had been fully addressed.
The ministry said the figures were recorded as part of the implementation of the 2025–2026 Road Safety Executive Plan, which includes a range of legislative measures and projects to address critical traffic locations.
Regarding public complaints, the ministry handled 760 requests submitted through the “Bekhedmetkom” (At Your Service) platform, with a response rate of 97%.
The requests were distributed as follows: “Ask the Government” accounted for 45.2%, complaints for 44.7%, suggestions for 4.3%, commendations for 3.2%, and reports for 2.6%.
The ministry’s Inspector General’s Office also received 2,011 complaints and suggestions, while administrative governors handled 10,668 public safety-related complaints and 16,815 general complaints.
Meanwhile, inspection committees conducted 216 inspection visits to high-risk facilities across the central, southern and northern regions and Aqaba to verify public safety measures and ensure the continuity of safe operations.
