Income Tax Department Begins Linking Hospitals to Medical Sector Monitoring System
The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) launched the Medical Sector Monitoring System on Tuesday. The system aims to regulate the exchange of tax information with hospitals and doctors to prevent arbitrary tax estimations, as part of an effort to strengthen partnerships with the medical sector and consolidate principles of transparency and cooperation.اضافة اعلان

This digital integration provides all necessary tax information in an organized and efficient manner, facilitating and accelerating the process of obtaining tax clearance certificates. Furthermore, it reduces discrepancies and conflicting estimations between department auditors and the financial departments of hospitals and physicians.

In this context, the department has begun the integration procedures with hospitals, starting with Specialty Hospital as the first to be linked to the system. This comes as part of the department’s strategic plan to expand the integration to all hospitals in the coming phase.

The ISTD confirmed that it will continue linking remaining hospitals successively, noting that any hospital can join the system through a designated electronic link.
