Interviewed by Al-Mamlaka TV, Jabali added that around 6,000 electric vehicles had been cleared from January to June 2022, indicating that prices of new vehicles’ parts increased by 15 to 20 percent in the market.

The prices of vehicles’ parts increased globally, which was reflected in the local market as well, Jabali contended, adding purchases of new and used parts declined by more than 50 percent since the beginning of 2022 and that the profit rate must be reviewed on both used and new vehicles.

He also pointed out that the Kingdom’s import of automobile parts of all kinds amounted to around JD9.252 million in May. Imports of vehicle and machinery batteries amounted to around JD2.476 million, and tires imports amounted to JD6.042 million, citing an increase of nearly JD2 million compared to April.
