Foreign ministry follows up on persons in Kenya over breaking laws

AMMAN - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, on Friday, stressed that it is following up on a number of persons who have violated the Kenyan tourist entry visa’s terms last Friday, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The ministry spokesperson Haitham Abu Alfoul said that the Kenyan authorities in Mombasa contacted the Jordanian embassy in Nairobi about arresting a number of persons accused of begging.

He added that the Jordanian embassy immediately contacted the Kenyan authorities to find out the details of the incident.

The embassy in Nairobi has provided the ministry's operations center with the results of its contacts for the return of these persons to Jordan.

Abu AlFoul said that the embassy in Nairobi has followed up on their departure from Mombasa, yesterday, towards the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, which is about 500km from Mombasa.

The persons are expected to reach the capital Amman this evening, except one person who is expected to reach the Kingdom tomorrow, Abu Alfoul said.
