Speaker of the House of Notables, Faisal Al-Fayez, stated on Sunday that the Royal Throne Speech was delivered to outline the trajectory of the nation’s future.

During the opening of the second ordinary session of the National Assembly, Al-Fayez noted that His Majesty King Abdullah II, through his wisdom, courage, and political acumen, has preserved the country and its higher interests while overcoming the chaos engulfing the region.
Speaking to Al-Mamlaka, Al-Fayez highlighted that the Jordanian state has faced numerous challenges since its founding and successfully navigated them thanks to the prudence of the Hashemite monarchs.
He emphasized that Jordan will continue to stand with the Gaza Strip, send aid, and will not tolerate ongoing violations in the West Bank.
Al-Fayez also pointed out that His Majesty the King’s efforts in defending the Palestinian cause over the past two decades have led the majority of countries worldwide to recognize the two-state solution and acknowledge the Palestinian state.
He stressed that Jordan will continue to safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Al-Fayez affirmed that Jordan’s stance on the Palestinian issue, under the leadership of His Majesty, remains firm, clear, and honorable, and is not open to doubt or exploitation.
King Abdullah II also remarked on Sunday that Jordan has grown stronger thanks to the faith of its people, noting that crises have changed over time, but the country remains resilient.
During the opening of the 20th National Assembly’s second ordinary session, encompassing both houses (the House of Representatives and the House of Notables), His Majesty emphasized that the nation, born amidst crises, has always faced challenges with determination, and successive generations have proven their steadfastness at every turning point.
The King further underscored the importance of continuing the implementation of the Economic Modernization Vision to sustain growth, carry out major projects, attract investments, create job opportunities, and improve living standards.
