AMMAN — On Wednesday,
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi received
Fadwa Barghouti, the wife of Palestinian prisoner and Fatah leader Marwan
Barghouti.

During the meeting, Safadi and Barghouti discussed the
Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to halt the deterioration in the
occupied Palestinian territories, as well as the “illegal” Israeli measures that pose a threat to
the two-state solution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
Safadi emphasized that Jordan stands Safadi emphasized that
Jordan stands firmly behind the Palestinians and their rightful aspirations for
freedom and an independent state, with
occupied Jerusalem as its capital based
on the borders of June 4, 1967.
Furthermore, Safadi reaffirmed Jordan's unwavering support
for the resilience of the Palestinian prisoners and their legitimate rights.
In response, Barghouti praised Jordan's commitment to
supporting the Palestinian people and assisting them in achieving their
rightful rights.
