Court orders Israel embassy to pay injured Jordanian JD357,000

AMMAN — A Jordanian court has issued a ruling ordering the Israeli embassy in Amman to pay JD357,000 to a Jordanian furniture truck driver who was shot by an Israeli embassy guard in an incident that occurred in 2017, according to Khaberni.اضافة اعلان

Jordanian Maher Faris Muhammad Ibrahim had filed a lawsuit against the Israeli embassy in Amman claiming compensation for material and moral damages, an allowance for a period of disability, and compensation for loss of earnings due to an 80-percent permanent partial disability.

According to a summary of the lawsuit, Ibrahim had been present at the embassy for work purposes on July 24, 2017, when an Israeli security officer fired several bullets, killing two men at the scene and causing Ibrahim’s injury, as well as the injury of the embassy’s assistant secretary-general.
