The Ministry of Public Works and Housing is commencing the construction of a 105-meter-long tunnel at the intersection of Shatana Street and the Irbid Ring Road. This project necessitates a partial traffic diversion along the street starting Tuesday, as part of a package of works to complete the earthworks for the Irbid Ring Road project.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, this diversion is being implemented in cooperation with the Traffic Department to secure the work site. The project also includes the reconstruction of a 330-meter stretch of Shatana Street, encompassing excavation, base course preparation, and asphalt paving, alongside installing all necessary traffic safety requirements. Traffic will flow through the new diversion, guided by layout sketches and directional signage installed at the site, until all construction works are completed.
The ministry confirmed that the traffic diversion is fully prepared and equipped with all public safety features to guide drivers. It urged citizens and motorists to strictly adhere to safety instructions and comply with the guidance of field crews and security personnel at the site to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain everyone's safety.
