Eight people were injured on Sunday after a fire broke out in a two-story chalet in the Northern Shouneh area, according to the Public Security Directorate.
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that firefighting and ambulance teams from West Irbid Civil Defense responded to the incident and successfully extinguished the blaze.
The fire resulted in three people sustaining burns of varying severity, along with cuts and bruises. An additional five individuals suffered from shock and panic.
Emergency medical teams provided first aid at the scene before transferring the injured to Muath Bin Jabal Governmental Hospital for further treatment.
The spokesperson stated that the fire was caused by an unknown flash explosion, which led to the collapse of parts of the building’s walls.
