13 deaths due to COVID recorded on Wednesday

AMMAN— The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Wednesday reached 13, while a total of 888 new cases were recorded in Jordan, taking the death toll to 10,239 and the caseload to 786,585.اضافة اعلان


Breaking down Tuesday’s tally, the Health Ministry said in its daily brief that Amman recorded 413 cases, while Zarqa recorded 148.

Irbid registered 96 cases, while Tafileh recorded 25 cases. Balqa recorded 21 cases, Maan recorded 49 cases, and Jerash 27.

Mafraq registered 21 cases, Ajloun 19, and Karak 15.

Madaba  saw 16 cases, Petra 20, Aqaba 13, and Ramtha 5 new cases.

The ministry added in the brief that some 97 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged, while 100 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Jordan stands at around 12,031, according to the daily brief.

Around 3.05 percent of the 29,145 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
