The Orthodox Club on were crowned champions of the U16 basketball league after
defeating Amman United (73-72) at the
Prince Hamzah Hall on Sunday.

Al-Jaleel came in third in the U16 championship after
beating Al-Riyadhi (68-63) at Al-Hussein Hall in Irbid.
Jordan Basketball Federation (JBF) President Mohamed
Alayyan said and JBF Secretary General Nabeel Abu Ata crowned the top three
teams.
In a post on his personal Facebook page, Orthodox Club
coach, Samer Nino, said he was “I am very proud of this group of young men who
proved that hard work pays off… .”
Orthodox Club’s Mohammed Nasser was his team’s MVP
with a double double (39pts.), 21 assists, one steal, two block shots and five
turnovers.
Waddhah Al-Nabulsi was Amman United’s MVP with 11pts,
23 assists, two steals, two block shots and four turnovers.
Al-Jaleel’s Ali Abdullah scored 15pts. 19 assists,
five steals, one block shot and 13 turnovers. Meanwhile, Al-Riyadhi’s Basel
Awad scored 22pts., nine assists, 11 steals and six turnovers.
