Jordan thrashes Kazakhstan, secures Asia Cup qualification

AMMAN — The Kingdom’s first-division basketball team secured a spot in the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup finals for the 12th time in Jordan’s history after an (80-70) win against Kazakhstan on Sunday.اضافة اعلان

Jordan became the runner in Group F after scoring an additional eight points and rising to the position of runner up in the Asia Cup qualifiers, while Kazakhstan remains in the lead with 10 points (four wins and two losses). Palestine is now in third place (7pts.) and Sri Lanka in fourth (5pts.).

The national team will conclude their qualifier run today (Monday) at 7pm with a second match against Palestine at the Prince Hamzah Hall. 

Ahmad Dwairi was match MVP after scoring 26 points, 14 assists and four passes, followed by Freddy Ibrahim who scored 12 points, carried out two assists, five passes and three steals.
