Falcons to face Iran at Asia Cup quarterfinals

AMMAN  — The Jordanian national basketball team, the Jordan Falcons, is seeking to advance into the semifinals of the Asia Cup by beating the Iranian national team on Wednesday at 1:30pm, at the Istora Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.  اضافة اعلان

On the same day, the Lebanese national team faces the Chinese team at 4pm. The winner of this match will then go on to face the winner of the Jordan-Iran match in the semifinals scheduled to start Saturday.

The confrontation between the Falcons and Iran will be their 31st in both  friendly and competitive matches. The Jordanian national team has won only seven times out of those 31 games, making them the historic underdog in this match-up.
