Portuguese newspaper Record reported that a member of the national team’s staff was instructed to pack his belongings and leave the camp after Ronaldo’s departure.
The newspaper said António Costa, the Portugal national team’s equipment and kit manager, left alongside Ronaldo.
Ronaldo had left the Portugal camp following a dispute and later said on social media that he made the decision after coach Jorge Jesus’ press conference and a conversation with the president of the Portuguese Football Federation.
Ronaldo is expected to reveal the details of what happened to Portugal fans and explain the reasons behind his departure at an appropriate time.
Portugal will face Norway on Sunday evening in the fourth round of the UEFA Nations League.
The match will be Portugal’s second game since Ronaldo’s departure, following their 4-2 victory over Denmark last Thursday.
