Manchester City midfielder Rodri has arrived in the city of Barcelona to finalize his transfer to the Catalan club, marking the team's most prominent signing of the summer transfer window.

According to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona and Manchester City reached a preliminary agreement on Sunday regarding Rodri's transfer. Barcelona will pay a fixed fee of €60 million for the player, in addition to €11 million in variables tied to titles the team wins.
Rodri arrived in Barcelona on Monday evening following the completion of the deal, appearing before numerous media outlets waiting for him. He delivered his first statements as a new player for the Catalan side, ahead of officially signing his contract.
Speaking to waiting reporters, Rodri said: "I am happy to arrive; these have been busy days... I am happy to be here. Playing for Barcelona is a dream. We will strive to win the Champions League and everything available to us."
Following his remarks, the midfielder headed to the hotel where he will stay until securing a new home.
Rodri is scheduled to undergo medical and physical examinations on Tuesday morning ahead of signing his contracts with Barcelona.
