The Jordan Football Association announced on Saturday that Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology will be introduced for the first time, starting from the 2026/2027 season, in a move aimed at improving the accuracy of refereeing decisions.

The Football Association said that Jordanian Super Cup matches will be played at 8 p.m. on public holidays to give fans the opportunity to attend and follow the games.
The 2026/2027 Jordanian Super Cup will feature four clubs: Al-Faisaly, Al-Wehdat, Al-Hussein Irbid and Al-Ramtha, under the tournament’s new format.
The Jordanian Pro League will be played over three stages, starting on September 3, 2026, and running until May 15, 2027, with breaks scheduled during FIFA international windows.
The Jordan Cup will also be held from August 27, 2026, until May 28, 2027. The preliminary round, featuring first- and second-division clubs, will take place from August 27 to October 11.
