National U17 football team announces roster for Asia Cup qualifiers

AMMAN — The national U17 football team, led by coach Abdullah Al-Qatiti, announced the roster for the Group A AFC U17 Asia Cup qualifiers.

The qualifier match will be held from October 1 to 9 at the Prince Mohammed Stadium in Zarqa.

In statements carried by the Jordan Football Association, Qatati confirmed that Group A holds strong teams, especially because it includes last tournament’s title-holder Japan, alongside Syria, the Philippines, and Turkmenistan.

On holding the qualifiers in Jordan, he said: “Holding the qualifiers in Jordan enhances the chances of qualifying for the continental finals, especially since we have home advantage.”
