With their most recent victory, Faisaly broke their tie for number one with Ramtha, dragging their opponent down to number four.

Ramtha bounced back, however, and rose to second place (15pts.) after a (3-0) win against Al-Jazeera, as the latter dropped to number 6 (11pts.)

Al-Wehdat faced a setback against after a (0-0) draw with Al-Hussein Irbid, ending up with a 14-point score across six games, thereby coming to a standstill in third place (goal difference compared to Ramtha and Al-Salt). Meanwhile, Al-Salt took a step forward moving up to fifth place, with 14 points across eight matches, after winning (3-1) against Sahab.

During the league’s eighth round, Al-Jaleel beat Baqaa (3-2) and Maan beat Shabab Al-Aqaba (1-0)

He continued:“We will very likely see several changes to team rankings in the coming rounds, especially with the return of fans who will rile up the players and play a major role in deciding the champion.”

A total of 16 goals were scored in round 8. Al-Jazeera’s forward Ali Alwan is the league’s top scorer (5 goals), followed by Shabab Al-Ordon’s Douglas Valle (4 goals), Sahab’s forward, Yazan Al-Nuaimat (4 goals) and Salt’s Ronald Wanga (4 goals).
