Former national team player and Al-Salt club player Essam Al-Sumairi has announced the termination of his contract with Al-Salt club, affirming that the decision to end the contract came at the club's request and from the club's side alone, noting that he has now become a free agent without a club.اضافة اعلان

In a post on his Facebook page, Al-Sumairi said: "My contract with Al-Salt club has been terminated at the club's request and from the club's side only, without them informing me of their wish beforehand. I am now a free agent without a club."

He added: "May God grant everyone good. A man's true character shows in how he handles situations. Injuries are part of football, and in times like these, a person learns the true nature of people."

Al-Sumairi continued: "I'm not surprised this isn't new for you all, and there's more to say, God willing," in a message carrying clear reproach over the way his relationship with the club was ended, without revealing further details.

The termination of Al-Sumairi's contract comes following the injury he sustained during individual training sessions with the national team, which involved a tear in the Achilles tendon of his left foot, an injury that kept him out of participating with the "Nashama" (national team) in the 2026 World Cup finals.
