AMMAN — As part of the preparation for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup in Doha, the national football team, Al-Nashama, began technical and physical training in Kosovo’s capital, Pristina, as they will be facing Kosovo in an exhibition match on Wednesday.اضافة اعلان

The Iraqi head coach of Al-Nashama, Adnan Hamad, led 28 players in some light physical exercises to ease some of the players’ fatigue after the trip to Kosovo.

The national team arrived in Pristina on Saturday afternoon.
After the exhibition match with Kosovo, the national team will have another friendly game against Belarus in their home field in the capital Minsk on November 16, concluding the training camp.

The training camp, which was held in Kosovo and Belarus, is considered the third and final stage for the Nashama’s training for the Arab Cup.

In October, the national team beat Uzbekistan 3-0, Malaysia 4-0, and in September, Bahrain 2-1 after losing to Haiti 0-2, in various exhibition matches.
The Arab Cup is part of the preparations for the Nashama to participate in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup playoffs, which will be held in the summer of 2023, which be done in the “bubble” system.

This was in the light of the decision of the Asian League to abolish the pre-qualifier system — which previously included back-to-back matches — due to complex challenges of travel and movement of teams amidst the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The national team placed in the third group of the Arab Cup, amongst Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Palestine.
