It added that Moscow is studying the proposal and hopes to hold contacts with Washington regarding it.
The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has asked countries seeking a permanent seat on the newly proposed “Peace Council” to contribute at least $1 billion.
According to a draft charter of the Peace Council, President Trump would assume the council’s presidency as its first chairman and would personally decide who is invited to join the body.
Decisions would be taken by a majority vote, with each member state present having one vote, while all decisions would be subject to the president’s approval, according to the draft.
