The Israeli army stated that it intercepted one of the rockets, while the other landed in an open area. Later, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced that it had fired two rockets at the Netivot settlement in “retaliation for the Zionist enemy’s crimes against our people.”
Despite nearly two years of Israel’s ongoing war of extermination and starvation against Palestinians in Gaza, the Israeli army has not been able to fully eliminate the Palestinian resistance’s rocket-launching capabilities or prevent operations targeting its forces almost daily.
On April 6, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, fired around 10 rockets at Ashdod in response to Israeli massacres against civilians.
The Israeli army is currently carrying out extensive destruction operations in Gaza City, demolishing entire residential blocks and destroying remaining multi-story buildings to displace residents in preparation for invading and occupying the city as part of “Gideon’s Chariots 2” operation.
Meanwhile, the Al-Qassam Brigades launched “Moses’ Rod” operations to counter the Israeli forces, targeting several tanks, vehicles, and troop concentrations in recent days, particularly in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City and Jabalia in northern Gaza.
