Israeli forces carried out several airstrikes on areas in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, according to official Lebanese media, despite Washington and Tehran announcing an agreement to end the conflict between them, which also includes the Lebanese front involving Israel and Hezbollah.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes conducted strikes targeting the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa near the city of Nabatieh, one of the largest cities in southern Lebanon. The attacks also targeted the eastern outskirts of the neighboring town of Kfar Tebnit. In addition, an Israeli drone strike hit the town of Ansariyeh in the Zahrani area.
Although the intensity of attacks in Lebanon has declined since the United States and Iran announced an agreement on Monday aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, at least five people were killed in southern Lebanon as a result of Israeli airstrikes, according to the National News Agency.
