Israeli occupation aircraft carried out several airstrikes on southern Lebanon, according to the official Lebanese news agency.
The agency reported that the strikes caused damage to a number of homes.
For its part, the Israeli military acknowledged bombing multiple areas in southern Lebanon. In a statement, it said it “will continue to act to eliminate any threat posed to Israel.”
The Israeli military continues to violate the ceasefire agreement signed in November 2024 between Israel and Lebanon, mediated by the United States and France, following 14 months of clashes.
The agreement ended the most intense confrontation in years between Israel and Lebanon. However, the Israeli military withdrew from all border villages in southern Lebanon except for five points it announced it would maintain a presence in, while the Lebanese Army began deploying in those areas as the ceasefire implementation period in Lebanon concluded.
