The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it had detected several missiles launched from Lebanese territory toward northern Israel, following the activation of warning sirens in the Shtula area.
In a statement, the army explained that the air force successfully intercepted the missiles, without providing further details regarding any injuries or damage.
The statement noted that the activation of the sirens was carried out according to the approved policy in such cases, in order to ensure that residents in the targeted areas were alerted.
Hezbollah announced on Thursday that it had launched rockets toward northern Israel in response to what it described as Israel’s violation of the ceasefire.
