The Israeli occupation army announced on Tuesday the deployment of additional forces in Lebanon as part of its efforts to bolster its forward defensive posture. The move aims to "eliminate threats and create an additional security layer for residents of northern Israel against Hezbollah threats," according to the statement.اضافة اعلان

The army confirmed that this step is part of a strategy to enhance regional security against any potential attacks.

In a joint statement on Monday, leaders of five Western nations emphasized the need to "avoid" a large-scale Israeli ground operation in Lebanon. The leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom warned that "a full-scale Israeli ground offensive would have devastating humanitarian consequences and could lead to a long-term conflict."

The Israeli military had previously stated that it began a "limited and targeted ground operation" in southern Lebanon, according to the Israeli military spokesperson.

The occupation added in a statement that forces from the 91st Division have begun implementing a focused ground operation over the past few days, targeting what it described as "key targets" in southern Lebanon to expand the forward defense zone on the northern border.
