Tangsiri explained that the security of this strategic maritime passage is directly linked to Tehran’s decisions, noting that Iran receives precise, real-time intelligence from the air, the sea surface, and underwater in the Strait area.
He stated that Iran’s level of oversight over the Strait of Hormuz has become comprehensive and continuous, enabling the monitoring of all movements without exception.
Tangsiri stressed that Iran does not seek war, but is at the highest level of readiness, adding that if any confrontation were to break out, there would be no retreat “even by a single millimeter,” and Iran would continue to advance steadily.
He noted that the management of the Strait of Hormuz has moved beyond its traditional framework and has become fully “smart,” with Iran possessing instantaneous and complete oversight of all maritime movements, both above and below the sea.
He added that decisions to allow or prevent the passage of vessels—regardless of the flags they fly—fall under Iran’s full control, in accordance with what it deems appropriate for its security and strategic interests.
Tangsiri pointed out that neighboring countries are considered friendly states, but warned that the use of their land, airspace, or waters against Iran would result in them being treated as hostile states, noting that this message has been clearly conveyed to parties in the region.
