The Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority announced on Saturday that it has raised its readiness to deal with the unstable weather conditions expected to affect the region today, in order to ensure the safety of visitors and residents.اضافة اعلان

Mohammed Al-Habahbeh, Commissioner of Infrastructure and Investment and head of the Winter Emergency Rooms, explained that the authority has adopted a set of preventive measures and procedures to address any emergencies that may result from the weather fluctuations. He noted that field teams have been fully equipped with the necessary tools and machinery to handle heavy rainfall and possible flash floods.

He confirmed that the authority’s staff are in a state of full readiness around the clock, with emergency teams working continuously to monitor weather developments and respond immediately to any reports or emergencies, in full coordination with security agencies, civil defense, and all relevant entities in the region.

The authority urged residents and visitors to exercise the highest levels of caution and stay away from valleys and areas prone to flooding during the impact of the weather front, to ensure their safety.
