The heatwave affecting the Kingdom will continue today, Saturday, with dry and hot conditions over the high mountain areas, and extremely hot weather prevailing across the rest of the regions, accompanied by medium- and high-altitude clouds. Winds will be north-easterly to north-westerly, occasionally active and raising dust, especially in desert areas.

In its report, the Jordan Meteorological Department warns against direct exposure to sunlight for extended periods during peak hours, the possibility of reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in the evening and nighttime in desert areas, leaving children inside closed vehicles even for short periods, and leaving campfire remains or cigarette butts in forested areas. It also urges citizens to drink plenty of fluids, especially water, and to avoid leaving flammable materials inside vehicles.
The hot and dry weather will persist on Sunday and Monday, with hot conditions over the high mountain areas and extremely hot weather elsewhere, along with scattered medium- and high-altitude clouds. There is a slight chance of brief, light, local showers in parts of the south and east during the afternoon hours. Winds will be moderate to active north-easterly to north-westerly, raising dust in desert regions.
On Tuesday, hot weather will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, with extremely hot conditions in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba, along with medium- and high-altitude clouds. Winds will be moderate to active north-easterly to north-westerly in desert areas.
Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures (°C) are expected to be: East Amman 43–28, West Amman 41–26, northern highlands 38–27, Sharah highlands 39–28, desert areas 45–30, plains 40–26, northern Jordan Valley 44–30, southern Jordan Valley 43–34, Dead Sea 44–33, and Gulf of Aqaba 44–32.
