The Kingdom will remain on Saturday under the influence of a state of atmospheric instability. The weather will be relatively cold and partly cloudy, with rain showers expected in various parts of the Kingdom. These showers may be heavy at times in the northern, central, and eastern regions, accompanied by thunder and hail. Winds will be southwesterly and active, with strong gusts at times reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h in some areas, stirring up dust, especially in the Badia regions.
In its report, the Meteorological Department warned of the risk of flash floods forming in valleys and low-lying areas in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom and parts of the eastern regions. It also warned of thunderstorms and hail, strong winds particularly in the southern regions, and reduced horizontal visibility due to dust, especially in the Badia areas. The department urged respiratory patients to take necessary precautions and called for caution due to slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall.
Temperatures today in East Amman will range between 17°C and 9°C, and in West Amman between 15°C and 7°C. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range between 14°C and 6°C, in the Sharah highlands 13°C and 5°C, in the Badia regions 21°C and 8°C, and in the plains 17°C and 9°C. In the northern Jordan Valley temperatures will be 24°C and 14°C, in the southern Jordan Valley 25°C and 15°C, at the Dead Sea 24°C and 14°C, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 26°C and 16°C.
On Sunday, the Kingdom will be affected by a cold and moist air mass associated with a low-pressure system, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures. The weather will be cold and partly cloudy, with intermittent rainfall expected in the northern and central regions, as well as parts of the southwestern and northeastern areas. Rain may be heavy for short periods during the morning in the northern and central regions. Winds will be westerly and active, accompanied at times by strong gusts.
On Monday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected. The weather will remain cold in the high mountainous areas, relatively cold in the Badia and plains, and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Skies will be partly cloudy in the northern and central regions, and light rain showers are expected in the early morning hours in parts of the north and center of the Kingdom. Winds will be moderate westerly.
On Tuesday, temperatures will rise noticeably. The weather will be pleasant and sunny in most regions and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate southeasterly winds.
