Jordanian national boxing team athlete Hussein Eshish won the bronze medal today at the 20th edition of the Asian Games, being held in Nagoya, Japan.
Hussein Eshish competed in the semifinals of the 80-kilogram category but lost to South Korean boxer Kim Min-sung, concluding his participation in the Games with a bronze medal.
Eshish reached the semifinals after securing two consecutive victories first against Kyrgyzstan’s Omurbek Bekjigit Uulu, followed by a quarterfinal win over China’s Wang Xiaobao.
The Jordanian national boxing team will continue its campaign at the Nagoya Asian Games tomorrow, when Ziad Eshish faces Japan’s Seunoretsu Okazawa in the semifinals of the 70-kilogram category.
Ziad Eshish secured a medal on Monday after defeating Tajikistan’s Shamsher Saidov in the quarterfinals.
