The launch of these devices is part of a new product series promised by the company this week, as Apple prepares to host a special event to announce further innovations.
iPhone 17e
The new phone is powered by the A19 chip, manufactured using 3nm technology, providing fast performance and high power efficiency for both daily use and AI features within the Apple Intelligence ecosystem. The processor includes a six-core CPU that delivers performance up to twice as fast as the iPhone 11, along with a four-core GPU that supports advanced technologies like Ray Tracing, enabling a more realistic gaming experience close to home console levels.
The phone also features the new C1X connectivity modem, designed by Apple, which offers data speeds up to twice as fast as the C1 modem used in the iPhone 16e. It consumes 30% less power compared to the iPhone 16 Pro modem, boosting battery life to last a full day of use.
Durable Design and Advanced Display
The iPhone 17e maintains an aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure with IP68 water and dust resistance. It features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with Ceramic Shield 2, which is more resistant to scratches and impacts. Additionally, it reaches a peak brightness of 1,200 nits in HDR mode for a clear viewing experience even in direct sunlight.
The phone utilizes Face ID for unlocking and secure payments, alongside the Action Button, which provides quick access to various functions such as the flashlight or Visual Intelligence features.
Advanced Camera Experience
Apple has equipped the phone with a 48MP Fusion camera capable of capturing highly detailed photos even in low light, thanks to Night Mode. The camera also offers two levels of optical-quality zoom, giving users the experience of two cameras in a single lens. The device supports 4K video recording at up to 60 fps with Dolby Vision, as well as Spatial Audio recording with advanced tools for audio editing and wind noise reduction using machine learning algorithms.
Connectivity and Safety
The iPhone 17e offers a suite of satellite connectivity features, such as messaging without cellular coverage and Emergency SOS via satellite. It also includes Crash Detection, which monitors for traffic accidents and automatically contacts emergency services when needed. The phone supports fast charging via USB-C, reaching 50% in approximately 30 minutes, as well as MagSafe wireless charging and Qi2 technology at up to 15W.
The device runs on iOS 26, which introduces a new design concept called Liquid Glass, along with intelligent features like real-time conversation translation, call screening for unknown numbers, and spam message management.
The iPhone 17e is available in three colors: Black, White, and Light Pink. Storage starts at 256GB for $599, with a 512GB option available. Pre-orders begin on March 4, and it will be available in markets on March 11 across more than 70 countries.
iPad Air with M4 Chip
Alongside the new phone, Apple revealed the latest generation of iPad Air, equipped with the M4 chip, which delivers performance up to 30% faster than the M3 version and up to 2.3 times faster than the M1 version. The device comes with 12GB of RAM and a memory bandwidth of 120GB/s, enhancing its ability to run AI applications, process video, and handle professional tasks.
The processor includes a 16-core Neural Engine that performs three times faster than the M1 chip, supporting tasks such as video analysis and visual content creation.
The device also supports modern connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 5G for cellular models. It runs on iPadOS 26, which introduces a new windowing system for app management and improvements to the Files app and PDF editing.
The iPad Air is compatible with Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard. It is available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, starting at $599 for the smaller model and $799 for the larger one. Pre-orders begin on March 4, with market availability starting March 11 in 35 countries.
