Jordan will take part in the World Masters and Veterans Wrestling Championships, featuring Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, which will be held in Amman from October 6–11 at Princess Sumaya Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.

Jordan will be represented by six wrestlers — Yahya Abu Tbeikh, Saleh Al-Zreiqat, Ramzi Al-Marafi, Hani Al-Marafi, Ibrahim Arar and Haitham Al-Araj alongside six Jordanian referees.
The championship will bring together 527 wrestlers from 50 countries, in addition to 43 referees, 20 coaches and seven representatives of United World Wrestling. Around 3,000 people, including participants’ families and spectators, are expected to attend.
The event will also provide younger generations of wrestlers with an opportunity to learn from former champions, explore their careers and draw inspiration from athletes who have made their mark on the wrestling mat.
With participants aged between 35 and 60, the championship will also highlight the importance of maintaining an active sporting lifestyle, physical fitness and competitive spirit throughout different stages of life.
