Open Summer Swimming Championship continues

AMMAN –  The open summer swimming tournament organized by the Jordan Swimming Federation started Friday at the Olympic pool in Al-Hussein Youth City.اضافة اعلان

The tournament is the final of the current summer season and features 260 swimmers competing in all age groups. The tournament ends on Monday.

The president of the Jordan Swimming Federation, Maher Mahfouth, said that the purpose of this tournament is to measure the level of swimmers and bring them into the competition atmosphere.

Mahfouth also confirmed that through this tournament, the national team will be selected to participate in the Arab Championship, which will be held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi next month.

The first day of the tournament saw a new national record in the U10 50-meter freestyle race by swimmer Hashim Naimat, who recorded a time of 33:04.
