Egyptian blogger Maryam Saif, known on social media, revealed her experience with the "Mongaro" slimming injections, confirming that they did not bring the desired results but instead caused severe damage to her health.

Maryam explained that these injections are expensive compared to other weight loss medications, but they caused temporary paralysis in her stomach and severe pain, making her stomach unable to function as efficiently as before. She also mentioned suffering from memory loss, extreme fatigue, and a repeated desire to sleep for long hours, sometimes exceeding 16 hours a day.
Maryam pointed out that women who use "Mongaro" injections should not get pregnant for at least six months after receiving them, noting that medical studies on the effects of these injections on fetuses have not yet been conducted, and it is unclear whether they cause deformities or health problems for the fetus.
Psychological effects and weight gain
The Egyptian blogger said the injection caused her a difficult psychological crisis, especially after she stopped using it, as she noticed a greater increase in her weight than before starting treatment. She added that with the first two doses, she noticed weight loss, but her body stopped responding afterward, which affected her negatively. She also explained that the injections caused swelling in the gland responsible for fat secretion, warning of the importance of thorough gland examinations before using the injections.
“I live with half a brain”
Maryam Saif confirmed that her mental state is no longer normal, and she suffers from difficulty concentrating and understanding, saying, "I’m living with half a brain now." She ended her talk with a video where she joked, "I wish I had used this money for body sculpting."
