Amid warm applause and tears he could not hide, star Vin Diesel experienced one of the most emotional moments of the 79th edition of the Festival de Cannes, during the celebration marking 25 years since the launch of The Fast and the Furious series, in an evening that turned into a moving tribute to the memory of the late star Paul Walker and his daughter Meadow Walker.اضافة اعلان

A moving moment brings together the stars of "Fast & Furious" after 25 yearsDuring a midnight screening of the first film in The Fast and the Furious series, a number of the film's most prominent stars gathered, including Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, in an atmosphere dominated by feelings of nostalgia and loyalty to a journey spanning more than two decades.

After introducing his two co-stars on stage, Diesel admitted that he could not take part in this moment alone, affirming that the relationship between him and Paul Walker was greater than just a cinematic partnership — it was a true brotherhood that accompanied the franchise's success since its beginnings.

Visibly moved, he told the audience: "The person who wouldn't have let me come alone to represent this brotherhood... is Paul Walker," before pausing for a few moments amid lengthy applause from those in attendance.

The series isn't over yet!
Diesel also revealed that the franchise's continuation through the anticipated final film, Fast Forever, in 2028, stems from the audience's emotional connection to the family that the series created both on screen and off it.
Before the film's screening began, Diesel described the work as "the beginning of one word... love," referring to the human bonds that have formed the core of the franchise since it launched in 2001.

Meadow Walker preserves her father's legacy
The most moving moment came after the screening ended, when Meadow Walker took the stage amid audience applause. Diesel then gave an emotional speech in which he conveyed her description of the cast and crew as a "source of strength" in her life after her father's passing, before whispering to her in front of the audience: "Your father would have been so proud of you."

It is worth noting that Paul Walker starred alongside Vin Diesel in the first seven installments of the series, before his tragic death in 2013 at the age of 40 during the filming of Furious 7 — the film that was immortalized through the song "See You Again," which became one of the most famous tribute songs in modern cinema history.

Since his passing, Meadow Walker has continued to preserve her father's legacy through the Paul Walker Foundation, and she also appeared in the series' latest installment, Fast X, a move the audience viewed as a symbolic continuation of her father's presence within the "Fast & Furious" universe.
