Four years after finalizing their separation, Shakira and Gerard Piqué are back in the spotlight over a legal dispute concerning arrangements for visits with their two children.اضافة اعلان

The former couple’s appearance at the City of Justice in Barcelona drew the attention of the media and the public, prompting questions about the reasons behind the new legal proceedings involving Shakira and her former partner.

Shakira seeks to maintain visits without requiring the children to travel
Although the court hearing was held behind closed doors, informed sources revealed that the new legal action concerns how the custody agreement signed in 2022 is being implemented.

Under the agreement, the Colombian singer moved to Miami with her two sons, 13-year-old Milan and 11-year-old Sasha, while Piqué continued to live in Barcelona. He retained visitation rights on a monthly basis and during school holidays.

According to a statement from Shakira’s representatives, her request is not intended to reduce the amount of time the children spend with their father, but rather to reorganize the short flights between Miami and Barcelona.

The singer believes that the children’s repeated transatlantic travel, along with the time difference and resulting fatigue, could affect their psychological, physical and academic well-being.

Shakira is therefore proposing that Piqué travel to Miami during short school breaks, rather than requiring Milan and Sasha to make long journeys to spend limited periods in Barcelona.

According to her legal team, the proposal aims to give the children more time in their usual surroundings while maintaining their school, social and family routines.

Shakira and Piqué personally attended the hearing, despite the possibility of being represented solely by their legal teams. The court has not yet announced a final decision on the request.

The families of the former couple have continued to remain silent, while Shakira’s representatives have called for Milan and Sasha’s privacy to be respected throughout the proceedings.
