The total number of visits to tourist sites since the beginning of this year up to April 25 reached 632,048, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.اضافة اعلان

The data indicated that 63% of the visits were by foreigners, 33% by Jordanians, and 4% by Arabs.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of visits declined, reaching 894,036 visits by April 30, 2025—a decrease of 261,988 visits, or 29%.

The ministry confirmed that the total number of visits includes repeat visits to different tourist sites by the same visitor, whether international or domestic.

Earlier, the Central Bank of Jordan stated that tourism income declined by 3.8% during the first quarter of 2026, reaching $1.65 billion, compared to an 8.9% increase to $1.72 billion during the same period in 2025.

Preliminary data from the Central Bank showed that tourism income in the first quarter of 2026 increased from European nationalities by 20.1%, Asian nationalities by 4.7%, and American nationalities by 1.2%. Meanwhile, income declined from expatriate Jordanians by 10.1%, Arabs by 2.2%, and other nationalities by 24.0%.

Regarding March 2026, tourism income decreased by 5.4% to $410.0 million, mainly due to a 20.3% decline in income from most nationalities, except Arab nationalities, which recorded an increase of 12.1%. Compared to February 2026, tourism income in March fell by 23.2%.

The data also showed a 6.3% decrease in tourism spending by Jordanians and residents abroad during the first quarter of 2026, reaching $459.7 million. Accordingly, net tourism income for the first quarter of 2026 declined by 2.8% to $1.19 billion.
