In a statement posted on the "Urdun Janna" official Facebook page, the Ministry underscored the necessity of avoiding dealings with unlicensed individuals or intermediaries. It stressed that all booking and registration procedures must be completed directly through authorized travel agencies to safeguard participants' rights and ensure the quality of services provided.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Emad Hijazin, previously told Al-Mamlaka TV that the Ministry will reactivate the "Urdun Janna" program starting the first day of Eid al-Fitr. The revamped program will feature dedicated itineraries for the ancient city of Petra and other key tourist destinations.
The Ministry also highlighted the importance of cross-checking official prices announced via the "Urdun Janna" mobile application to ensure transparency and prevent any potential overcharges or misinformation. A full list of licensed agencies is available on the program’s official website.
Furthermore, the Ministry noted that the program now includes a new route: The New Ma’an Trail.
In a related effort, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), has launched a national campaign to enhance the cleanliness of archaeological and tourist sites across the Kingdom. This initiative aims to foster community awareness regarding the preservation of these sites as a core part of the national identity and a pillar of the tourism sector.
The campaign seeks to broaden community engagement by involving tour guides and volunteers in initiatives under the "Urdun Janna" umbrella, while collaborating with media outlets and content creators to document and promote these environmental efforts.
