Senate Committee discusses higher culture, arts council

The Senate’s Culture, Youth, and Sports Committee on Tuesday called for the formation of a higher culture and arts council, which would connect national stakeholders and develop the sector’s infrastructure.اضافة اعلان

Head of the Culture Committee, Senator Bassam Haddadin, said the council would do so by creating balance between different public, private, and community sectors, which contribute to empowering civil society institutions by “aiding comprehensive and sustainable development efforts.”

The discussion came at a meeting between Culture Minister Ali Al-Ayed, and Culture Ministry Secretary General Hazaa Al-Barari to learn more about and enhance the ministry’s plans for the council, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
