Jordanian playwright passes away

AMMAN— The Minister of Culture Ali Al-Ayed on Saturday marked the recent passing of author and theater director, Akram Abu Al-Ragheb.

Ayed, in a press statement, noted Ragheb’s contribution to Jordanian and children’s theater, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

Ragheb specialized in children’s literature and culture. He was born in Amman. He authored and directed nearly 40 plays for children, wrote more than 50 plays, and has 40 published books for children, five for adults, and about 30 drama series for adults and children.

He was a member of the Jordanian Artists Syndicate, the Union of Jordanian Writers, and the Union of Arab Historians.
