Oil prices fell at settlement on Wednesday, posting annual losses of nearly 20 percent in 2025, amid growing expectations of a supply surplus in a year marked by wars, high tariffs, increased OPEC+ production, and the imposition of sanctions on Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.اضافة اعلان

U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude recorded an annual decline of 20 percent, its largest percentage drop since 2020 and the third consecutive year of losses, marking its longest losing streak.

On the final trading day of 2025, Brent crude fell by 48 cents, or 0.8 percent, to settle at $60.85 per barrel, while U.S. WTI crude declined by 53 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $57.42 per barrel at settlement.
