U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude recorded an annual decline of 20 percent, its largest percentage drop since 2020 and the third consecutive year of losses, marking its longest losing streak.

On the final trading day of 2025, Brent crude fell by 48 cents, or 0.8 percent, to settle at $60.85 per barrel, while U.S. WTI crude declined by 53 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $57.42 per barrel at settlement.
