Jordan’s total pension expenditure bill recorded an increase of nearly 3% during the first four months of this year, reaching JOD 611.5 million, compared to JOD 595 million recorded during the same period last year.اضافة اعلان

Statistical data showed that this increase was driven by a 2.5% growth in allocations for primary retirees, which accounted for the largest share of total expenditures at approximately JOD 519 million. In the same context, the bill allocated to beneficiary heirs jumped by 4% to reach nearly JOD 93 million.

The upward trend was not limited to financial costs alone, but also extended to the number of beneficiaries. The total number of retirees grew by 2% to reach 429,921 during the first four months of this year, compared to 421,412 retirees in the corresponding period last year.

According to the figures, the total segment of beneficiaries was distributed between 278,881 primary retirees, registering a growth of 1.7%, while the number of heirs recorded the highest increase at 2.6%, reaching 151,040 beneficiaries.
