AMMAN —
Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali said Tuesday that a project aimed at simplifying new business
registration and licensing is well underway and will ultimately culminate in
the introduction of a single-window system, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.

In a statement, the minister stressed that the system will
enhance the overall business-doing journey and will make it easier and faster
to establish and license new enterprises. Under the new system, the minister
explained, new businesses that are eligible to go through a fast registration
track will have their licenses issued on one day only.
Other businesses may go through either a conditioned track
or custom track, noting that 383 activities are eligible to access the fast
track according to the
International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC).
