The Faculty of Law team at Applied Science Private University (ASU) has made a remarkable international impact by reaching the Round of 16 in the global finals of the 2026 Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. Organized by the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, the team secured 13th place globally, setting a historic Jordanian precedent as the first team to reach such an advanced stage in one of the world's most prestigious law school competitions. This follows the team’s earlier success in winning the regional round held in Cairo.

This achievement comes after an intensive competitive journey, where the team’s outstanding performance led to a series of victories over prestigious international universities, including Ain Shams University (Egypt) and the University of Fort Hare (South Africa). They secured their advancement by eliminating the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) on points, earning their place among the top 16 teams worldwide, alongside representatives from England, the USA, Canada, Egypt, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Romania, Serbia, and Austria.
Jordan was represented in this competition by a talented group of students: Abdullah Srour, Asaal Al-Jarjawi, Layan Foudeh, and Sulaf Al-Asaad. Their participation showcased a high academic standard and an honorable professional image that reflects the excellence of both the university and the Kingdom.
This milestone underscores the leading position held by Applied Science Private University in legal education and highlights its role in preparing graduates capable of competing in international forums with confidence and distinction.
