AMMAN — Minister of Digital
Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh said that next week, the ministry will
hold a meeting to announce the signing of an agreement about the conditions to
license the 5G telecommunication technology in Jordan, according to Jo24.
Hanandeh indicated that the ministry
and the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission are finalizing the 5G
technology licensing procedure, along with other procedures related to telecommunication
companies, which, said the minister, need about a year and a half to build the
infrastructure and prepare their networks for operation.
