"Zakat Fund" Approves Eid Bonus and Greenlights Package of Charitable and Educational Projects
The Board of Directors of the Zakat Fund, chaired by the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Places, Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, decided during its meeting on Wednesday to grant an Eid bonus (Eidiya) of 50 JOD to every impoverished family and orphan household benefiting from the fund. Housing and Debt Relief
The Board approved the renovation of 11 homes in various regions across the Kingdom following the completion of necessary technical studies. Additionally, it approved the settlement of outstanding financial debts for 116 "Gharimat" (indebted women) who met the Fund's approved criteria, with the total settled amount reaching 80,500 JOD.

Financial Performance and Transparency
During the meeting, the Board reviewed the Fund’s financial position for the first quarter of the current year. Members examined revenue and expenditure data, as well as the volume of donations received, to ensure the continuity of charitable programs and their delivery to eligible recipients with the highest levels of efficiency and transparency.

Educational Support
In a move to support education, the Board approved the launch of the School Bag Project for the 2026/2027 academic year. The project entails purchasing 20,000 school bags fully equipped with stationery, at an estimated cost not exceeding 250,000 JOD, to be distributed to students from eligible families.

Social Solidarity
Minister Al-Khalayleh praised the pivotal role played by the Zakat Fund and expressed his appreciation for the trust of donors and charitable initiatives. He lauded their generous financial support, which contributes to strengthening the values of social solidarity among the citizens of the nation.
